Juvenile Nutrition Programs

The American Journal of Diseases of Children has shown that obesity
in our children has increased 54% in 6 to 11 year olds since 1960. Furthermore,
diseases that were once seen exclusively in adults are now becoming commonplace
in children. These include Type 2 Diabetes, high blood pressure, high Cholesterol
and fat deposits in the coronary arteries.
Equally concerning is that our students
score third from the bottom among developed countries in math and science.
The list goes on and on, as do the excuses. The kids are resistant and concerned
parents become exasperated. We understand your situation as we have special
expertise in helping children.
The initial consult may be done with the parents alone to hear their concerns.
Any lab work or doctor/teacher reports should be brought along at that time.
Depending on the results of this interview and the child’s age, further
screens such as diabetes may be required. Again as determined by the child’s
age, a one-on-one consultation will be done.
Individual programs whether addressing a known problem or
just maintaining good physical and mental health are simple and easy to understand.
Our children are our legacy and deserve to be given the best chance possible
for success and happiness in an increasingly tough world.
